User Self-Registration Disabled
I’ve disabled user registration due to huge volumes of spam causing database issues.
From now on this will be a manual process, until we can get some sort of spam filtering in place.
To create a Twitter Usergroup blog email accounts@twitterusergroup.com with your Name, the Blog you want created, and a desired username.
Within 24-48hrs you’ll get an email back with your registration details.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but this is the only way to prevent the huge volume of spam.

Are you getting “invalid username and password” attempts, despite resetting your password several times?
That’s probably because you signed up with a username that had Uppercase letters in it. Yes. Really.
To get your username working again, drop me an email: info@twitterusergroup.com
Moral of the story: If you are signing up - make sure your username is in all lowercase. So: “myusername” is Ok. “MyUserName” is NOT. You can change your *display name* once logged in.

Seemily random, but needed things:
- Special linkage to associated Facebooks of groups
- Better and local designs for each location
- Microformat stuff so maps, calendar entries, email addresses are automagically created
- Automagical during event comment follower thing
- Automagagical post-event Flickr/YouTube video follower
Welcome
Welcome… we’re still kinda launching, but you can go ahead and sign up though.
Edit (some weeks later): You only need to sign up if you want to start a Twitter User Group blog.
Note: Gmail and chinese (.cn) email addresses are banned - due to large amounts of spam.
